All events will be held on Sunday 25th August
Teams of 5 are able to enter (in the 5km teams entry) with the combined finishers placings of all 5 entrants added together to find the winning team (example - team member 1 finishes in 10th, member 2 in 15th, 3rd in 20th, 4th in 25th and 5th in 30th). This is a total of 100. The team with the lowest team total is the overall winner.
The winning team will recieve a perpetual trophy and a plaque to keep.
In its second year the Sunshine Coast Marathon & Community Run Festival has become a must do event for people from across the Sunshine Coast, throughout Queensland, interstate and across the globe.
The event precinct is at located at the Alexandra Headlands Surf Club, with the start & finish area directly adjacent. The are great spectator vantage points in and around the event precinct where you can view your friends and family participating and where you can cheer them on down our now famous finish chute.
In its second year we are expecting to attract up to 10,000 runners, with strict numbers available in the marathon and half marathon distances.
There are a number of events which makes the festival suitable for all abilities and ages. Just choose your challenge, set your goals, follow the online training program or one you currently have and we will be there to meet you at the finish line.
Being a community focused and charity event we have ensured we have catered to all those wanting to take part including families and those with disabilities, with our 2km event allowing parents with prams and wheelchair entrants to take part and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
