All events will be held on Sunday 25th August
"Love and Partners 5km Teams Corporate Cup"
Teams of 5 are able to enter (in the 5km teams entry) with the combined finishers placings of all 5 entrants added together to find the winning team (example - team member 1 finishes in 10th, member 2 in 15th, 3rd in 20th, 4th in 25th and 5th in 30th). This is a total of 100. The team with the lowest team total is the overall winner.
The winning team will recieve a perpetual trophy and a plaque to keep.
Event Details
In its second year the Sunshine Coast Marathon & Community Run Festival has become a must do event for people from across the Sunshine Coast, throughout Queensland, interstate and across the globe.
The event precinct is at located at the Alexandra Headlands Surf Club, with the start & finish area directly adjacent. The are great spectator vantage points in and around the event precinct where you can view your friends and family participating and where you can cheer them on down our now famous finish chute.
In its second year we are expecting to attract up to 10,000 runners, with strict numbers available in the marathon and half marathon distances.
There are a number of events which makes the festival suitable for all abilities and ages. Just choose your challenge, set your goals, follow the online training program or one you currently have and we will be there to meet you at the finish line.
Being a community focused and charity event we have ensured we have catered to all those wanting to take part including families and those with disabilities, with our 2km event allowing parents with prams and wheelchair entrants to take part and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
The Channel 7 Marathon and McDonalds Half Marathon
Courses are now finalised and we can let you know that the stunning coastline of Alexandra Headlands, Mooloolaba and Maroochydore will form the base of the course, with amazing views such as Coolum to Mooloolaba (from the top of Alexandra Headlands) and the stunning beaches the coast has to offer, there is no more spectacular backdrop for event. The Half Mararthon is two loops with Marathon entrants completing a multi loop course.
Westpac 10km, Love & Partners 5km & Sunshine Coast Council 2km
Starting in front of the Alexandra Headlands Surf Club, entrants will follow the same course as the marathon and half marathon entrants, again taking in the fantastic views of the Sunshine Coast.

Presentations
Presentations for all races, including random draw prizes will occur directly after the event finish at 12:30pm. The adjoining parkland of the Alexandra Headlands Surf Club (which is also the event precinct) will take centre stage for the many participants that will be recognised.
Safety Information
The events (all distances) will take part on closed roads around the Sunshine Coast. Council and other regulatory bodies have approved our road closures, but please be mindful of traffic if anyone inadvertantly strays on the course. We will have traffic marshals and volunteers at every point across the course and Queensland Police at major intersections. Please remember;
- Obey all directions from marshalls, police and volunteers
- Do not run on any road that is not a part of the course
- Be mindful of others
- Stay as far left as you can in the direction you are running

Parking Information
Parking at the event precinct will be restricted to event personnel, with a limited number of parking spaces for disabled entrants.
Parking for the event will be off Alexndra Parade on Mari St, which is directly opposite the event precint area. Remember the road closures, as both sides of Alexandra Parade are closed (from Mooloolaba through to 6th av Maroochydore).

Please be mindful of residents and businesses throughout the area when parking, as without their support our event would not be possible. If you can, please catch public transport or have a friend or family member drop you off nice and early.
For those running in the later events, please remember the road closures, leave early to make sure you get to the start line on time.
Changed Traffic Conditions
The entire course is closed to traffic. All roads are closed from 4:30am until approximately 12:45pm on Sunday August 25. Mooloolaba Esplanade and Alexandra Parade (up to Buderim St) on Alex Hill will reopen at approximately 9am.
