COVID-19 Update

2020 7 SUNSHINE COAST MARATHON COVID-19 UPDATE

Thanks for your understanding in these uncertain times

Understandably, we have been receiving a large volume of queries regarding the status of this year’s event and we appreciate your patience during these difficult times.

We have been monitoring government guidelines regarding COVID-19 restrictions,  and with the latest declaration from the Queensland Government that the Public Health Emergency has now been extended to 17 August, we are incredibly disappointed to share that these tight restrictions on mass gatherings, make it impossible to hold our event as planned in August this year.

Registered participants are offered the option of a full refund minus a $10 admin fee; or deferral to next year’s edition of the 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon Festival on 15 August 2021. If you would like to receive a refund, please email info@atlasmultisports.com.au by midnight Monday 15 June. If you are happy to transfer, no action needs to be taken. After 15 June, any participants who have not requested a refund will be automatically transferred to 2021. Please allow several weeks for us to respond and process your refunds while we work through this with our small team. 

We are incredibly disappointed to deliver this news, and appreciate the support of our wonderful running community during this time. Please keep an eye out for exciting news coming around a virtual offering from Atlas Events, to keep you motivated and hitting your running goals in this “new norm”.
