ARE YOU READY FOR YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE YET?
One of Australia's most loved running festivals, the 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon, is set to be bigger and better in 2014 with its great beachfront course and more runners than ever before.
In its third year, 7SCM will again deliver a flat, fast and scenic course so you can achieve your goal, no matter what your ability. Whether you're an elite athlete testing the legs and chasing down prize money, an age grouper looking for an elusive PB, a first time marathoner nervous about making the distance or a beginner wanting to know what the fuss is all about, you can achieve it by running the 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon.
Up to 8000 runners of all ages and abilities are expected to take part in one of the five events on Sunday August 31. Better still 100% of event profits go to groups such as Ronald McDonald House Charities and The Westpac Foundation and more than 70 worthwhile causes chosen by YOU the runner.
Don't take our word for it. See what others are saying about the event on our Facebook page and remember; you don't finish 100% of the races you don't enter.
The 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon is proud to be raising much-needed funds and awareness for seriously ill children and their families who use the facilities Ronald McDonald House Charities provide. In 2013 more than 2500 South East Queensland families used a Ronald McDonald house facility for an overnight stay. On top of that 625 families were turned away from facilities due to a lack of space.
At Westpac Foundation our vision is of a future where every Australian has the best possible chance to succeed in life. With a heritage dating back 130 years, we invest in enterprises taking a fresh approach to addressing social problems, borrowing the best from business to create more opportunity for Australia’s most disadvantaged.
