The 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon & Community Run Festival is Australia’s newest running festival celebrating healthy lifestyles, the great outdoors and community participation.
The festival celebrates its second year on August 25, 2013 with participants encouraged to challenge each other and help support major beneficiaries such as Ronald McDonald House Charity.
Join up to 10,000 participants in 2013, with the same format of 2km, 5km, 10km, half or full marathon events available. All distances will take in the views and atmosphere of the beautiful Sunshine Coast beachfront with plenty of spectator spots and race day activities for the whole family to enjoy.
The 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon & Community Run Festival is proud to be raising much-needed funds and awareness for seriously ill children and their family who use the facilities Ronald McDonald House Charities provide.
We are a charitable trust investing in not-for-profits run by community leaders who have the vision, courage and determination to give disadvantaged Australians in our community opportunity. Through our grants, we seek to develop communities where the long-term unemployed, Indigenous Australians, refugees, the homeless, and individuals with a disability, feel engaged and included.

Be a Hero - fundraising opens
In 2012 the 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon raised more than $150,000 for charities and local community groups. In 2013 we are daring to double both entrants and fundraising initiatives. Participants are encouraged to set-up an Everyday Hero page when they enter. There are hundreds of charities to choose from including the event's major beneficiary Ronald McDonald House Charities. Don't forget every little bit counts and no amount is too great or too small. No matter what distance you plan to run every effort is an achievement worth celebrating!
